Identifying Cognitive Trajectories and Predicting Rapid Decline of Cognitive
Function in early Alzheimer's Disease

   Proposal Description:
   Our longitudinal study of three data collections over a period of 2 years used  a clinic-based cohort in Taiwan which included 233 early AD and MCI patients  with baseline MMSE above 20. We applied group-based trajectory model and  identified 2 linear trajectories of cognitive decline then developed a  prediction model including numbers of APOE e4 allele, baseline IADL score and  baseline MMSE score as predictors to identify patients at higher risk for a  speedy cognitive decline. To further validate our prediction model, we wish to  apply for NACC dataset as a replication cohort.
